We are Home

Ok, I was busy getting a baby here so I wasn't posting. Jeremy took care of that for me. We took our laptop to the hospital and hooked up to the wi-fi. Great times we live in!

Thanks for all your well wishes and I'll be posting some more pics on the family website. Can't wait for you all to meet her!

2:45am

I decided that I like it better when Heather is induced at a normal hour than the 2:45 wake up to... Ummm Jeremy I think my water broke.

So we are here at the hospital with a predicted afternoon delivery.

With Regard to the Baby...

I went to the doctor last Friday and got the update.

No change from last weeks progress, which was not much to write home about anyway. My swelling was ridiculous but Dr. A said I don't have pre-eclampsia {they induced me three weeks early with Brynns for this}. So he ran some blood tests to make sure my liver and kidneys were functioning properly. He said he would have the results by the afternoon and if anything looked off that it would be the last day I was pregnant. They never called, so that means I'm A-OK.

Which is good because Brynns decided to puke all over me Sunday afternoon as I'm walking down the hallway at church. Yeah, there was no sleeping, lots of puking, lots of cleaning carpets, floors, couches, & clothes. But I'm glad I was at home and not at the hospital, because who can take better care of that sick baby than her mama??

And on a final note, if I make it to Sunday still pregnant it will officially be the longest I have ever gone. We'll see what this Friday's appointment has in store for us.

Brynnlee's 3rd Birthday

Flowers from Daddy.

She blew out all the candles!

The "Belle Birthday"

Brynn's originally wanted an Ariel Party. That was up until I helped Lindsay with her Belle cake for Kaiya. After that Brynnlee wanted nothing to do with mermaids and Belle took center stage.

While this cake did go smoother than the last one, it was still a ton of work. These suckers are a pain, but in the end worth it when you hear your little girl exclaim, "Oh mom, it looks wonderful!"

I told you she liked that word.

You can't see much detail in these pics, but I'll put others on the fam website if you are so inclined to hop over there.

3 Already?

It's a special day over here so here are three things about our lovely girl.
  • Brynnlee is now completely a "daddy's girl". This, after spending the first 3 months of her life screaming like a banshee every time he picked her up. {she still tends to scream like a banshee, but now for other reasons such as the we didn't pick out the right shirt, or she wants a pink bowl instead of yellow}

{this was typical Brynns for a VERY long time}
  • Brynnlee is all girl and waits in my bathroom every Sunday morning as I put on my make-up for her chance to get "lips". She also loves getting her nails painted and has myriad of slightly different shades of pink polish.

  • Brynnlee is a chatterbox and loves to use words such as wonderful, beautiful, and fabulous. She is constantly talking and if she isn't talking she is singing. Non-stop over here, but we love it.

Happy Birthday Brynner Bear!

*There has to be the cuteness factor*

So the shoes aren't cute, but my new little nephew most certainly is. Check him out! I can't wait to squish him, only a few more weeks...

You've Got to be Kidding

This is what Jeremy jokingly tells me he is buying as a gift for the baby. Can you believe it? I mean, they aren't even cute!

jealousy is bad, babies are good

All week I have been harboring jealous feelings. I will freely admit it.
My SIL's planned c-section occurred this morning. She's known for weeks when her little man would be arriving and I was just the tiniest bit jealous. OK- A LOT JEALOUS. All week I have been thinking "this is the last time Kristen has to do {blank} pregnant" Wah. Wah. Wah. I know, give me a break. All pregnant women get whiny and I'm no exception.
But the clincher was that as she was gloriously getting a baby pried from her belly this morning I was hanging over the toilet. I know, right? How crappy is that timing? Obviously I need to have a talk with this little girl borrowing my body, because shouldn't we be done with this already?
So after I cleaned myself up, got over the shock I walked downstairs to find the most adorable picture texted to my phone. I can't harbor ill feelings any longer. He's just too darn sweet!
Welcome to the world, Breyton!
***In other news the good doc tells me I'm 50% effaced and dilated to a 1... yeah, so no baby this weekend. But a girl can always dream.

Oh. My. Gosh.

You know, I'm all for realism when it comes to cakes but this just sicks me out.

Cute Stuff

My grandma gave me some embroidered pillowcases just after Jeremy and I were married. Not wanting to ruin them I never used them. So they have been sitting in our linen closet for over 8 years.

Cute, right?
Last week Jeremy's mom, Carol-Lynn, told me they were making pillowcase dresses for their Super Saturday. She asked if I would like some for the girls.
And the lightbulb went off!
And the final product is even better than I imagined!
Love it.

Camping Trip

We went camping in July with Kate & James and their boys Gabe & Nolan. The kids had a great time and we hoped to do it once more this summer, but it didn't happen. There's always next year though.

Nameless is Shameless

Have you ever known someone who let their baby go without a name for a few days? Me too. While I think it's weird, I don't think it's the end of the world. But have you ever known someone who let their baby go without a name for almost a year? I do.
Yeah, that's what I thought too. They actually called him "baby" for almost his first year of life. Preposterous for sure! So guess what? Since I was so judgemental I think I may have been cursed. Because...

Baby number 3 is officially nameless in this house! This is a first for our family and I'm not diggin' it. We had names picked out by this time with the other two kidlets. But this time everything is different, and that includes the naming part.

It's not that we don't have ANYthing to go on, but we just haven't officially decided. I think we are having commitment issues over here, but I'm not sure. We have even gone so far as to ask the kids what ideas they have. Wanna hear?

Brynnlee
1. baby sister
2. baby girl

* at least she is consistent with her first name choice

Kaden
1. Alexis
2. Sunflower
3. Star
4. Daisy

* no joke, these are the names he gives me.

So needless to say we won't be leaving it up to the siblings to choose a name. But I promise we will decide before this little girl celebrates her first birthday! Wish us luck.

Birthday Love

Nicole and I worked long and hard on this cake. We started by fretting about the funky color we had created. We had a hard time remedying it but in the end the results were both beautiful and delicious!

Hope your 30th was fabulous Linds!
