More random facts. Because I guess you people just can't get enough of me!!
1. I only had two career choices growing up. I either wanted to be a Neo-natal nurse, or a child psychologist. You see how well those two panned out.
2. In high school I had my life all planned out- go to college, go on a mission, finish my dental hygeine program, travel Europe, and THEN finally meet my dentist husband and get married. All before I was 24- I had determination.
3. I drove a pink Ford Aspire in high school. If this wasn't bad enough- my junior year of HS we moved to Santa Ynez California where everyone but me and a few other ghetto kids were the only ones not getting BMW's, and Mercedes for our 16th birthdays. Serious character building experience.
4. I used to hate when people would not put carts back in the "corral"- and then I had kids and became one of those people.
5. I save tons of coupons. My wallet is chuck full, and I hardly ever use any of them.... but I can't let them go unclipped, because I might (just might) need them!!
6. I the first and only time I have been to a drive in was after Jeremy and I were married. We went to the drive-in because Jeremy was shocked I hadn't been before. We got the full experience since our battery died and we had to get a jump start at 1 am. Good times.

Hey, just be glad you had a car in high school. I had to drive the mini-van until the end of my senior year when my parents thought they were bestowing the best gift upon me when I was plagued with an old Mazda 626 that continually overheated and broke down on me. I love how you wanted to be a neo-natal nurse and a child psychologist. You are getting to use those skills on your own kids!
ReplyDeleteI think I want to see a picture of the pink car. Is it like bright pink, or like Mary Kay Cadillac pink?
ReplyDeleteI used to hate it when people wouldn't put carts back in the corral either. Now I'm guilty of leaving my cart out too. About 2 years ago, some lady at target saw me doing it, and she tapped on my window and made me go put my cart back. I was embarrassed!
So, from the #2 fact, how many of those things actually happened?
ReplyDeletelindsay, I can't believe someone told you to put your cart away! What a loser! I want to see this pink car as well. It had to be better than a brown diesel station wagon.
ReplyDeleteStephanie (slyn), I know exactly what station wagon you are talking about. I remember you and Matthew driving that thing. Now that's a classic. Since we are talking about cars, I had a '87 Buick that was purple! Her name was Violet!
ReplyDeleteHeather, you had lots of aspiration in the younger years wanting to be a Dental Hygienist, Nurse, and Psychologist! Not me, that would be too much studying!!
I love these lists, you learn so mcuh about people from just 6 random facts.
ReplyDelete#4 made me laugh. I have to admit I get annoyed with those people who don't put their carts away; but I don't have kids. (Seriously though, the wind could blow and they could ram right into my car....which would tick. me. off).
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tag. I will get on that soon....
Good question elizabeth! For those of you who haven't ever met me in real life....
ReplyDeleteI went to college and finished with my AA, but then I got married before I even turned 20 (so no mission), didn't attempt a dental hygeine program (cuz I was a newlywed and broke, I haven't ever been to Europe, and my hubby is not a dentist.
So- one out of five!
Great list Heather! You would have made a lovely neo-natal nurse.
ReplyDeleteI didn't have a car in high school, but I did get to ride in the car to church(and everywhere else) with my parents in the huge old Mercury with a sticker on the back window that said "Bitchin". Awesome, let me tell ya!
These are interesting! I will answer on my 6 today...I have to think about them first!
ReplyDeleteYour life plan sounds a lot like mine... college for a few years, mission, finish college with a degree in Marine Biology, move to Australia to work for a few years, then get married and start a family. Odd how things don't work out quite as we planned :)
ReplyDeleteLove the music!
Did you just tag me or is that another Kristy? How embarrassing if I posted 6 random facts claiming to have a friend in cyberspace who deemed me worthy and then you had to come back and say, "Uh, nice list, but I wasn't actually talking to you."
ReplyDeleteLove the list. Even though I think I know you quite well, it's always fun to learn more.
ReplyDeleteHey Heather, you know the only reason why I used to ride to school w/you was because you had the Classic Pink Aspire! Oh the good old days.
ReplyDeleteYou always seem to tag me. I guess i better get thinking. :)
