One word: contacts. I got glasses 5 years ago. After a few years I got sick of cleaning them constantly and carrying the stupid case around. Then my sister introduced me to contacts that you can keep in your eyes for 30 days straight. I was sold and jumped on board. Haven't looked back since.
Also, you'll be so glad once the braces are off. I've had braces, twice. I hate crooked teeth.
Ok, when you were here yesterday, I thought "wow! I've never seen Hether in her glasses and she looks so cute!" Seriously! Stupid me for not saying anything.
Heather, you look cute. I'm supposed to wear glasses, and I don't. Now my eyes are probably twice as bad. Ditto to the comment above about the 30 day contact lenses. Riley wears them and they work great for the most part.
I've sometimes thought about getting some frames, just cause, you know, people might think I was smarter. Until they figured out that I was wearing glasses I didn't need. Which would actually then seem dumber.
I love the glasses!! I feel like a copy cat here with all the other comments, but I think they are really cute! And braces are a pain, but worth it! If you don't like the glasses, contacts are a great alternative.
My perscription according to Dr. P "is just enough that it's annoying" So basically I only wear glasses when I need to crispen my view (driving, movies, etc). So contact aren't necssary since I technically don't even HAVE to have glasses.
You look great in glasses and braces won't last too much longer anyway! :) I on the other hand, look HORRIBLE in glasses. So i've worn contacts since 9th grade!
Really cute frames! I'm the same as you, very small prescription but I do notice for distance and movies. I also feel like a tard in glasses and although I've had my braces off less than a year, I will be joining you in the metal madness in a month or two. We can be Ugly Betty wannabes together.
