Birthday Love

Nicole and I worked long and hard on this cake. We started by fretting about the funky color we had created. We had a hard time remedying it but in the end the results were both beautiful and delicious!

Hope your 30th was fabulous Linds!

It looks awesome! I'm guessing that the "L" is out of royal icing??

It was FANTABULOUS!! Both in taste and appearance.

The "L" was a fondant rolled around a wire, but next time I think I would try royal icing.

How about a tasting party sometime. We see all these lovely creations, but a little sample would be nice.

Ok when did you start making such great cakes? I love them. The white and green one is awesome. Good job. I know how hard and time consuming those can be.

I need your talent of making cakes look beautiful! I've been trying to decide what to do with Michael's first birthday cake, coming up in three weeks! If you have any easy suggestions I'd love to hear or see them, but remember I'm no expert like you!

This has nothing to do with this post, but, after reading your blog, I went and bought some candy corns. THey hit the spot!
