This may not be of interest to anyone reading...

but when has that ever stopped me before?

Did you know that there is an earring lost and found in the temple? {I noticed since I had to wait around for approximately 17 minutes waiting for two different people to exit my locker space. Why do I always pick THAT locker?} As I was saying... I didn't have much else to do besides eavs drop on a few conversations and check out the earring selection while I waited so I chose to focus on the latter.

As I was staring at those earrings, for nearly a quarter of an hour mind you, I noticed that the earring selection didn't contain just singlets waiting to be claimed, there were also pairs! And darn cute pairs at that. I wonder what becomes of those earrings who never find their rightful home. Do you think they go to DI after a certain waiting period? And do you think I could put a request in? "Hey when you send those to DI will you put them on hold for me. Here, let me give you my name and number."

Like I said, it was a long wait.

That's so funny, I noticed the lost earrings too! And I always seem to pick the locker that many people in my session picked too! And I am last to get in to change.

There should be a little request form. Maybe it would increase attendance? :)

Not only is there an earring lost and found, but an actual lost and found......so you know, if you left your jacket or something.

You could claim ownership to some pairs; but I guess I don't want to encourage dishonesty in the Lord's House.

I noticed that too last time I was there. There are a few pair of cute ones I wouldn't mind putting my name down for.

at different times I've left earing and a necklace at the temple. Thank goodness for that lost and found!

I never knew! Now I can rest easy knowing that if I ever lose an earring at the temple, I'll know right where to look.

Highly valuable info!!

Your thoughts are much more noble than mine. I was actually thinking, "What do you think would happen to someone if they claimed a pair of earrings from the temple L&F that did NOT belong to them?" Would they go straight to outer darkness, or would there be a pit stop at, say, Sonic first?

I had no idea! I'll have to check it out. And yeah, Jared always picks THAT locker. Seriously. I'm always waiting for him for like 5-10 minutes every time.

I love your posts, especially when you say, "This probably won't interest you..." That to me usually means it's gonna be good. You did not disappoint with this post. Thanks for the new knowledge about earrings at the temple. Oh and I think you should call and "reserve" the pair you liked the best! :)

HAHA, I just love that you were "shopping" for earrings in your mind while waiting and waiting and waiting! ;)

I think I'd be doing the same thing, tee hee! :D

I have totally lost two pairs of my earings at different temples! Why didn't I go back to get them. Now I just don't wear any earings when I go. I bet there were some cute pairs in that Lost and Found!!

Well as they say, there's no harm in asking is there?

I always choose 'that' locker, too.

I'll have to look for the earring lost and found next time to occupy my time.

That's what we used to do in the BYU dorms. There was a waiting list for lost and found items.

You just totally made my day. I'm glad I'm not the only one with a white trash wonder-mobile!

I hope my little one has hair like your little boy's.

Thanks for the giggle!

This reminds me of a funny story my Mom told me when someone stole crystals from the Albuquerque Temple Chandelier. They turned black and the person thought they were cursed and send them back to the temple. Turns out, the cleaners have to wear special gloves when ever they clean or touch the crystals or they turn black. Thanks for my b-day wishes!!! I'll be waiting for my song dedication :)LOL

Oh man, this so funny! I had no idea.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. For some reason I just assumed we were the same age! My mom says that I was an adult when I was two...so everyone always thinks I'm old.

I'm still kicking myself that I didn't call you when we were in Portland. Maybe we'll make it that way someday soon.

That's too funny! Ok now I know what to do while I'm waiting for the locker.
Seriously - aren't there about 150 lockers in the Denver Temple? Why are we all waiting for the SAME ONE?
