Kaden gave his first talk on Sunday.
It all began with the message left on Saturday afternoon reminding me of his assignment. I never got word that he had an assignment so I called back and got all the details so we could be prepared.
It was actually really hard for me to write a talk for a 3 year old. Just because I wasn't really sure what to say. I ended up with 4 sentances and I think it was perfect.
Turns out after we got the pictures from the library for the talk we find out there was a mistake and Kaden was on the schedule for next week.
He was so excited to give his talk and therefore very disappointed when I asked him if he could wait and give it next week. Even the promises of calling Grandma and having her watch him next week couldn't draw in the pouty lip.
Anyway they just let him give his talk this week and it made his day because the Bishop got to speak too! He did a great job, even if he would only repeat half the words I whispered. I'm sure everyone knew what he was talking about.
So great job Kaden! Your excitment was the only thing more precious than your waves from the front of the primary room.

That is so awesome! That's great that he was so excited about giving a talk :)
Heather, I keep meaning to tell you how absolutely adorable Kaden was while giving his talk. I'm not usually in Primary, wait, who am I kidding? I'm a permanent sub in there! I was so glad to be able to watch him. He was so happy up there! My favorite part was hearing him repeat the word "restoration" perfectly. He is so stinkin' cute!!!
I love when our Sunbeams give talks...or their parents give their talks for them. LOL. Good job Kaden! (Kevin & I teach sunbeams - all boys).
I'm the one who gets to make those reminding phone calls. It's a hoot watching those little sunbeams give a talk. So cute. Last week we had one keep saying "I don't want to say that!" as his mom was trying to whisper the words in his ear. I was so trying not to laugh.
Your music freaked me out again today. Nice track though.
Kaden's giving talks! These children are growing up way too fast! I love imagining him waving from the podium. So sweet!
You really need to post the picture of him before he gave his talk, it is so sweet, one of my favs!
I was just waiting for Jeremy to send it... so now its up!
You know that Kaden is seriously one of my favorite kids. He's so adorable and I wish I could have heard his talk. I think it is so cute that he was so excited to give his talk.
I am so glad they let him give his talk. That picture of him is so adorable
We always joke that's it's the parents giving the talks at this point, but their little spirits do shine through. I love his vest and tie.
Cute picture. Good idea Heather, keeping the talk short. We have had many a closing exercises run over 5-10 minutes because of parents who write way too long of talks. 2-3 minutes people! Sorry, a little venting, oops.
I am so impressed that he was brave enough to get up there in front of the whole primary! Way to go Kaden! And this picture is seriously one of the cutest Ever!
whats this talk for? I feel so outta the loop with all this stuff. And btw that is the most adorable photo of him.
That's great that he was so excited about giving a talk. I'm glad that they let him give his talk. I love it when others understand the situation so perfectly! That is so great! He has a very sweet smile!
Oh you're so lucky! [newbie] and I love your banner.
Cheers
That is so awesome! My nephew got his assignment and crumpled it up and said, "I won't do that!" He ended up doing well, but he didn't want to!
Kaden did awesome! It was the sweetest thing! Isn't it the best when they do their first assignment in primary? To see their tiny little bodies climb up on the steps and their tiny voices try and say these big words they've never heard before (like restoration). Payson's only done the prayer so far and I loved every second of it!
