Yesterday Brynns asked if she could bring her Barbie to church. When I told her no she replied with "But she's wearing a church dress!" She's too smart for her own good.
Last week we had dinner with our good friends, and the conversation turned to picky eaters. Jessica said her dad would tell them to eat their vegetables because it would put hair on their chests. In a family of 7 girls that didn't go over real well. Then Kaden announces "My mom has hair on her chest!" Nice. And in case you are wondering, I don't.
Jer and I went to the Stake Center for interviews yesterday. A little background: We love the Stake Clerk. He used to be in our ward and is hilarious. I don't think I have ever been around him without him making me laugh out loud. He also secured his spot in my good graces because Jeremy worked frequently on Sundays the few years after Kaden was born. Since I was teaching YW it made it hard to deal with a squirmy baby. Every Sunday that Jeremy was gone Tom would find me after Sunday School and snatch Kaden. Seriously, how many men willingly seek out a 6 month old to take to Preisthood?
So back to the story.... As I sit down, he says: "Am I ever gonna see you NOT pregnant?" and continues "I guess the problem is that everyone knows you are pregnant like 3 weeks into it. So it just seems like you are pregnant forever." Yeah, tell me about it. Coming from a stranger that would have been dangerous ground, but anyone who knows me knows it is completely true. That being said I'm tired of being pregnant.
Unfortunately for me, the countdown is still a pretty large number. Too many trips to the bathroom, too many contractions, not enough sleep or food. I feel like a bottomless pit. Around 8pm I'm totally ready for my second dinner and I'm sure the scale will reflect that healthy habit on the next appointment. Yay! So, yeah that's what my life is kind of about right now. The ugly large, starving, sleep-deprived, aching state of pregnancy. But this too shall pass, hopefully sooner rather than later.

yumm, second dinner, I always loved those :)
And I am sorry to hear about the sleepless nights, those are no fun.
You can borrow my poodle clippers for the chest hair Heather.
Love the conversations and am sorry about the sleepless nights and endless hunger. I have that and I am not pregnant. Yeah menopause.
Jan, you are a crack up! I was going to offer some clippers as well for the hairy chest! Gotta love kids!
Shayla told mom the other day that I never feed her breakfast, that is why she can't wait for shcool to start cause she ALWAYS eats breakfast at school! So not true........
You don't have to lie to us. We're your friends! Tweezers, my friend. TWEEZERS.
Oh the things kids say. I love that this man comments about you always being pregnant. Ahhhh...
I must say that that live traffic feed you added is awesome! Good luck with the pregnancy, i hope it gets better soon. And your kids continue to crack me up...If you want you can borrow my razor...
Oh, man, Kaden is a crack up. It's always fun to see Tom at the Stake Center. He makes the wait time not boring.
Ugh, I hate the last trimester of pregnancy. It is so hard. We will have to get together for another dinner---An italian feast this time? Don't worry, one of us can make the food for 6PM dinner and the other one of us can make food for the 8 PM feeding!
Nice Kaden. Real nice. At least you were with friends!
Tom really is the best. My kids LOVE him! I miss having their family in our ward.
its ok im not even pregnant and I want a second dinner! Good luck with the rest of the pregnancy!
Heather, if you're getting hungry for a second dinner that's a good sign that you still have more baby room. My kids were such huge monsters, it got to where I could only eat tiny portions of food because there was no where for it to go! I think you are looking cute. That Kaden is one heck of a boy.
That sounds positively miserable. I won't be getting pregnant any time soon. Good thing, because I don't exactly have a hubby ;-)
Don't go to the beach with that chest hair. And don't let it come up out of your shirt. Ewww!! ;-)
When I read the part of about the hair on my mom's chest, I blurted out such a big laugh! Right in the ever so quiet office here. I love the way you write!
Sorry about the sleepless nights and problems...but when you see that little person for the first time, all that will be magically forgotten! :)
What a wonderful list of great pregnancy things to look forward to, thanks Heather.
At our house it was if your eat your crusts your hair will be curly, and of course I tell my kids that.
I am very much done being pregnant also! I feel your pain :)

Good thing pregnancy doesn't put hair on your chest, right? Your kids are hilarious!
Funny kid! Was he trying to say that you eat your veggies?
I never really liked being pregnant. Good for you for sticking it out!! (like you have a choice, right?)
You look Great Heather. I just saw your live traffic feed and noticed that it said Missoula, MT. Just thought I'd let you know that I'm checking in today from my vacation. Hang in there, and I'm hungry at 8 p.m. too!
