A Breakthrough Kinda Week

:: a (short) list of things occuring round these parts ::
aka breakthroughs

~Ella's 1st tooth! And on the 4th of July no less! At 9 1/2 months I was beginning to worry that we might have to order dentures for the little gal, but low and behold one emerged.

~Jeremy had a second interview and I have a good feeling about it (I hope I'm not getting ahead of myself here).

~Running is going well [minus the shin splints that currently plague me] and I finally managed to break the 10 min. mile mark. FINALLY, I feel like I'm actually getting somewhere with this running bit.

~I decided I need to lay off the sugar a tad. I'm a self-proclaimed addict who is currently on her third day sans sugar. This is by no means a sugar fast because I fully intend to consume some sugar this weekend at a certain b-day party, but I figure just trying to have a few days here and there where I'm not totally overloading will do me some serious good.

Any breaking news on your end?

Um, no breaking news here. Oh wait! Mom finished her cancer treatment today; I guess that's news.

Crossing my fingers for the job! Good luck!

I hope some good news comes from this interview. I'm so impressed with your running, and the laying off of the sugar. I so need to do both!

I'm crossing my fingers for Jeremy!

10 miles!! You're awesome. And from one sugar addict to another...I know a few days without sugar would do me some good too...although I don't think that thought will go any further than right here on this blog.

Nothing exciting for me to report.

Every single time I get shin splints it's because my shoes have too many miles on them. I buy new ones, and like magic in about 2 days they're gone!

and very impressive with the sugar thing!

Keep us posted with the interview! That's fabulous news. You go girl- I can't ever do that sugar fast thing- I'm trying to tone it down a little right now too :)- so hard! How many miles are you running? I love gym classes & cycling classes- but I don't love running- are you running another half marathon? AmAzInG!

Liah got her first tooth at 11 1/2 months, so I was never worried with any of my others. 9 1/2 months is earlier than 3 of my kids! Yay Ella!
Funny you should have mentioned running shoes last week... mine are now officially worn through and I'm getting a new pair tomorrow. Hopefully it will help with my ankle soreness!
