Down by the River in a Van

I loved that comment by Alicia the other day- so here it is again!! However I was down by the river with a stroller.

Today I met Kim, Alicia, and Nicole at the river for a walk. Let me tell you how great it was! I' thinking that my problem with the exercise slump I'm in could have a lot to do with the fact that I stare at CO2 Furniture across the parking lot for 45+ mins. a day and listen exclusively to the iPod or Sportscenter.

Being outside made a huge difference, and having some great people to converse with was even better. I'll still need to be dedicated to my early morning workouts, but maybe I need to do a little measuring on the streets so I can enjoy the fresh air and biking or running and acutally getting somewhere!

I'm glad you liked my "van" comment. It's so interesting how I was very pro working out alone until I started walking with other people, and I can't believe the difference. In fact sometimes I have to remind myself that I actually did get a work-out because it doesn't feel like it!

Working out in the great outdoors is the best way to go. I get so annoyed when I'm not breathing fresh, mostly clean air.

What a great workout day for you!

Are you eating a steady diet of government cheese as well? Love that clip.

I love exercising outside as well, especially in beautiful spring weather. The nice part about walking with friends is that the time flies by quickly. You did something good for yourself and got some quality friend time in!

It is so nice to be outside and have friends to talk to when you excercise. Nancy Matthews and I try to walk every morning and it makes the excercise part of it all way more fun. Good for you for being so dedicated to your early morning workout!

It's always good to work out with others! Someone to help push you along and enjoy the time with. I hope this helps to motivate you to keep up the good work :)
