Remember a few weeks back when the power cord went out on our computer? Jeremy and I had an EXTENSIVE conversation about what we should do.
It was a dilemma because the power cord was like $120 and the computer is a 4 1/2 year old laptop, basically a dinosaur. We went back and forth about whether we should we fork the money out and hope the computer holds out a little bit longer or should we just put the money toward buying a new one?
Obviously, we chose to hold out and just buy the power cord hoping our luck with stick around and get us through a little longer. And of course, last Friday just as I hit publish on my comment on El Donaldo's Blog the screen goes all checkerboard on me. UGH! Friday night was spent trying everything to revive our electronic monstrosity but then realizing that our computer has seen the last of it's internet days. I know, how convenient.
So we have a new computer. It's a desk top. And it's on our desk. In our office. Where Jeremy sits at for about 13 hours a day either working or doing homework. So the posts will be a little more sporadic, but rest assured I'm still here. And I know where you can get a power cord, che-eap. Ya know, in case you are looking.

Sorry to hear about your laptop, we are going through the same dilema.
Have fun with your new desktop though :)
well he's gotta get up to go potty at some point. so just jump on and make him wait. ;)
Bummer about the computer problems. I hope your blogging keeps up.
Bummer! But at least you have a new computer now! By the way I need to call you and see how your training is going. I have actually been running and am going to start riding my bike this week. Hope the training is going well for you!
Ugggh. computer problems stink. I am officially boycotting computer problems!
I wish we had a laptop. That would be so perfect... unless it broke and stuff... then not so much.
We have a desktop and I want a laptop for this very reason. Hate being stuck in the office. And when someone is on the computer all evening, the other can't interact with the other person...
How sad! Oh, how I love my laptop. And my laptop was super cheap too.
A power cord for $120? Ouch. And all for nothing. Hate it when stuff like that happens.
Kick your hubby off the computer every now and again. You have to blog!!
Gotta love computers ;)
That is a bummer. I hate when stuff like that happens.
Computers can be so fickle, it is so frustrating. Hope Jeremy lets you take a turn on your new computer every once in a while. :)
How frustrating is THAT?! I hope you didn't lose what was on your hard drive. It didn't sound like it. Your post still reminds me that I need to backup my laptop pronto! It's 2 years old. What is that in laptop years? 40?
Ugh, it pretty much stinks when the computer breaks! I'm sorry the power cord didn't do the trick!
I hope you can sneak in some computer time! :)
