That has to be from a long time ago, because my earliest memories of the mall always had joann's/fabricland above it. It looks so farmlandish- just like 68 used to look. Ah, industrialization. . .
A friend forwarded me that picture the other day and I couldn't believe it. I do remember taking the "back roads" to the mall though when we would come up from Oregon. Now that is cityville USA.
Yep, I remember it like that!! I was glad to see that picture because Mike and I were talking about it one time and I couldn't ever remember the tire center NOT being there, so I was right!
IT doesn't look like any mall I've ever seen, so I'm sure it's pretty crazy to see it now. Since, I haven't been "blogging" in months, I had to go back a while- that Burger King present was sweet. You're so ambitious- I hope the triathalon goes well! Great to catch up on your fun life :)
So, last night I had a dream that you came to Kansas to make me a cake. We had so much fun and the cake was so yummy that I was drooling...only that part was real. Dang it!
Maybe sometime we'll meet up in Utah or New Mexico? I promise not to make you bake!

That is crazy! I have lived here a long time, and I cannot remember that. When is the picture from?
circa 1974. Crazy, huh!

Wow, that is amazing. I cannot believe how much that area has grown up in the past 30+ years!
I thought you were kidding. that is crazy!
wait, what?
That is so crazy. Just looking at all that farmland, and picturing exactly where Target, and TJ Maxx are now is so strange!
crazy, just crazy.

I totally remember the mall forever ago when it was still lame, but I wasn't even born back then. That's crazy!
Donald emailed me that picture last week. It's crazy to see how much has been built up around it!
We've come along ways baby.
