A few weekends back we headed up to Silver Mountain for a work retreat. It is a skiing resort, but they also have an indoor water park. We spent two days there just splashing around. If you are ever having the winter blues, this will cure them instantly. The best part is watching everyone come in wearing huge winter coats and boots and strip down to bathing suits. Not an everyday
occurrence.
The kids loved this huge structure.
Brynnlee was brave enough this year to try water slides all by herself.
Kaden loves to show us how it's done.
The "
Flowrider". A lot of fun, you'll see more below.
General picture of the layout.
The kids loved the lazy river.
I liked it, too. Plop myself in a tube and lay Ella on my chest.
Good times.
Getting tricky on the slides.
Giving me a quick smile before she runs off to play again.
Giving me NO smiles. The water was warm but not as good as mom or dad holding you.
The big skylights and water tower.
Here is video footage of our fun.
View from our balcony. They have fire pits going 24 hours a day.
Taking a minute away from cartoons to smile.
The outdoor fireplace.
This gondola goes straight from the hotel lobby up to the ski lodge on the other side of the mountain. How cool is that? I really wanted to take the kids up for a ride but when I found out it was $16 a person it suddenly got a lot less appealing.
Getting a breath of fresh air.
I think this kitchen was nicer than mine at home!
View from the living room to the front door.
Our bedroom. Ignore the bags everywhere.
View from the kitchen.
Nothing better than taking a break from "normal life" and having some fun.

This made me SO excited for our trip there!! I looked like Jeremy hit his head pretty hard, OUCH! Kevin did the same thing last time we were there:)
This place looks like a blast! Sweet family getaway.
WOW! That looks awesome! I want to go indoor swimming!
OH! And i believe you changed from 4B's in a pod to 5! :)
That looks like a wonderful getaway! I really would like a trip like that just to have a change of scenery and leave real life for a few days.
This seriously looks like a blast. I've never even heard of this place. I've always wanted to try that surfing thing. Glad you guys were able to get away for a few days. Love all the pictures.
I know, I know....
You updated your header - no more 4 B's in a Pod!
I've never heard of this place either. It looks like it's really nice!
And your hotel room looks awesome!
I have to admit, when I read your public blog that had a "warning" that you were in a swimsuit, the first thing I did when I came to this blog was to scroll down and find the video. I wanted to see what all your fuss was about and there needn't be any fuss!
Your trip looks so awesome, I've never been there before. You took some great pictures of everything. The one of Ella in the water *not* smiling makes me a little sad. It's cute but sad.
Looks like so much fun! Indoor waterparks are so great during the Blah winter season! Great pictures...your kids are so cute!
So fun! Looks like you had a great time!
