Technical Assistance, Please
Is anyone else having a few glitches with Blogger? I can't add any page elements... hence the songless, linklessness to blogs, no pics on the side, etc. Has anyone else had this and how did you fix it? The Add a Page Element page loads blank with errors.... suggestions?

Seriously, can I just say how much I hate comment verification?
It is so annoying, especially since I can't seem to get all the letters right once in a while- ok quite often. Just a friendly suggestion... hint* hint*.

Farm Boy Dreams
This morning Kaden posed an unusual question during breakfast.
"Mom next time we go to the Dairy can I buy a cow?"
Hmm...
So I said,
"Sure. When we move away from this house, and get a bigger yard we'll totally get a cow."
"Will we leave our playset?"
"Yes. Because when we get a cow you'll be a big boy and won't need to play on the playset anymore."
I didn't think he'd go for that, but to my surprise the conversation continued.
"Ok. I want to get a strawberry milk cow, cuz that's daddy's favorite milk. I know all about what cows give you what milk. Strawberry cows are the best."
I can't wait till we actually have to find a strawberry cow.

Warning: Hardcore Enrichment Activities from P-town
I have a huge bruise on my arm from "Slam it over Cyndi". Last night, trying to be social, I went and played volleyball with the ladies from the ward.
I thought it would be a really friendly, casual game. Oh no! These girls were spouting off rules and regs like nobody's business! At one point I was chided by my own team for fraternizing with the opposing team about our cute shoes... SERIOUSLY!
I must admit even though it was more intense than I bargained for it still was a lot of fun. I'll go again. But now that I have been fairly warned I'll pass along my tip in case you want to join the madness: Take your game face with you to the chapel, and don't bother discussing someones cute shoes- save it for the Sunday chit-chat.

The Biggest Cover-up
Does anyone know why we grow zucchini and then try and hide in any possible recipe?
Why don't we have any recipes that celebrate and bring out the flavor in the zuc? Is it because it doesn't have any distinct flavor?
I'm just curious since I have at least 13 bags of this veggie peeled, shredded and measured into 2 cup portions, hogging the precious space in our freezer. Does anyone acutally have a good recipe that uses zucchini without trying to hide it in a chocolate cake or something??

Colors of the Wind
Life is really moving on; everyone and their dog seems to be getting new jobs, selling houses, totally changing careers, having another baby, selling all their baby stuff... Do you know anyone right now who isn't going through a huge change in their lives? Something is changing for everyone, or at least everyone I know.
It makes me excited, but at the same time I'm a little bit sad. I'm excited because it means great adventures are in store and big changes that friends have worked hard for are finally being realized. But what I realize is that my world isn't the same- my relationships are different, my neighbors are different, my calling is.... oh wait- scratch that. But in reality as much as I love change, it is still hard for me to completely let go and let things evolve.
The weather is turning cooler, school is starting, and there are FOR SALE signs everywhere, and even Jeremy has decided to take a new job.
Change really is in the wind.

Yesterday's Accomplishment
Yesterday I went to the store and was leaving with purchase in hand by 9 am. Shocking, I know.
Then every following spare minute until 11pm last night went to hammering out these babies.
Yes, that lovely hand crocheting was acutally done by me.
I'm in love with these burp cloths so much it makes me almost consider #3... almost. Good thing I'm giving them away.
This pattern is what made me think of you all day, Mejojac. Seriously, the pictures don't even do it justice. It is so adorable in real life.

Ok. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. Jeremy, Karen, and I all watched this together and it was riotous. It has to be passed on. Let me know what you think!!
Thanks Dirty South and Lins for keeping us laughing, even when you are across the river.

Welcome Home
I am a lucky girl.
When I leave Jeremy at home by himself it's usually because he's stuck working- while I'm playing. But he is a great sport.
When I return home from being gone I never have any hesitation because I know the house will be perfect upon my arrival. I honestly do not have one horror story of coming home and the house looking like a bomb went off. In reality the house is usually in better condition than when I left. I can count on the floors being vacuumed, swept, washed, laundry done, dishes done, beds made and more often than not a beautiful bouquet of fragrant flowers sitting on the table. I was not disappointed this week.
These flowers have been going strong since Monday and they still look fabulous. So I have have enjoyed them for 5 days, if only the clean house would have lingered around so long!
Since I discovered Aselin I'm in love. So she is being featured today, for the third day in a row.

Girls Weekend
When you come back from a trip everyone asks THE question.
"What did you do?"
I got a lot of those after this weekend.
A few of my old roommates and I rented a cabin and took a weekend retreat all by ourselves. Five of us were supposed to come, and three made it. Jackie and Eliza you were missed.
So, what did we do? Nothing, really, and that's the reason it was so great. We had no agenda, no expectations, no plans... it was a fabulous vacation.
We met up Thursday afternoon and unloaded our stuff at the cabin in Wolf Creek, Ut. Then we headed into Ogden and ate at Olive Garden. We hit the Old Navy and Ross across the parking lot and then went home. We stayed up late talking and slept in late too.
Friday morning we sat in the hot tub, went to the gym, and played a few rousing rounds of racquet ball. We took showers and had lunch at 2:30. Then we watched mindless shows like "Top 20 fashion don'ts" and "The Simple Life". We wandered the mall for at least 5 hours browsing endlessly in stores where we didn't have strollers to maneuver around and children to convince that it would only be 5 more minutes. We rented a movie and made dinner at 11:00 pm - in true college fashion.
The next day we got up early had breakfast, and went to do a session at the Salt Lake Temple, and then we parted ways.
So all in all there isn't much to tell. It was fun just being able to relax, reconnect, and reminisce about old friends, FHE brothers/sisters, crushes and see how our lives (and everyone elses') seemed to turn out different than we thought.
We just took a break from reality, from the hectic pace of everyday life- and that was all the fun I needed.

I'm Done, Officially!
I mean it. I'm finished driving to Utah for the year. Don't worry I'll probably be eating my words in just a few months when we find another reason to go back.
My drive alone was a success. I wasn't willing to pay $74.99 to download Harry Potter, so I settled on "The Second Summer of the Sisterhood". It is the follow-up to the Traveling Pants book. It was good enough to keep me awake until I rolled into Lehi at 5:54 am, and I finally finished it as we crossed the bridge back into Washington.
Funny thing- I pulled into the rest stop yesterday between Ogden and Tremonton and changed Brynners' diaper around 7 am. I noticed the family next to us was doing the same thing. Then I realized it was Kim and Eden. How funny that we stop at the same rest stop at the same time and park RIGHT next to eachother. We met up in Mountain Home and had lunch at McDonalds.
The ride home was uneventful. The highlight for Kaden was watching TV all day- and Brynnlee's dream come true was no discipline for a day. I mean really, what are you going to do when she's tossing Cheetos at you and dumping Crystal Light in her carseat? Pull over every two minutes? No thanks. Needless to say she had a great time and I made it home.

Utah, Again.
Ok. Surprise, surprise I'm driving to Utah today! So if someone feels like going on a whim I could totally use a driving partner. 10 hrs in a car alone with 2 kids- fun! I'm not leaving until tonight, so feel free to call me. If not, I may have to download Harry Potter on the ipod to keep me awake.
